Sermon Summary

April 1, 2018

Shawn Stinson

Mark 16:1–8 (and corresponding verses in the Roadmap)

5 pieces of what the resurrection could look in our community when we beleive it and when we live it.

  • Cosmic: Jesus Made us Right With God (Colossians 1:19–20)
    • We have a Father who creates, controls, and owns the fabric of the universe
  • Personal: Jesus Made us Alive (Ephesians 2:4–5)

    • We can be victorious in faith because Christ has been victorious in flesh

If we believe this we could walk around without fear and without self-awareness

  • Interpersonal: Jesus Made us One (Ephesians 2:13–19 & John 17:20–23)

    • Jesus has done the hard work, made it possible to be one, how do you believe and live this?

  • Communal: Jesus Made us Family (Ephesians 2:19)

    • You can fight your family, but you can’t leave. Family that adopts

  • International: Jesus Gave His Life for Every Nation (Revelation 5:9–10)

"You can believe Christ was raised from the dead and it would have no effect on your life. But what happens when that truth becomes real to us?"

"If you believein the resurrection of Christ, you have been freed."

"We can be victorious in our faith ecause Christ has been victorious in the flesh."
