Matthew 4:19–22, 1 Corinthians 15:17–22

7 Identities We Receive From God Through Christ

  1. We are made alive (1 Corinthians 15:20–22)
  2. We are chosen (Ephesians 1:3–5)
  3. We are adopted (John 1:12–13)
  4. We are saved (Ephesians 2:4–10)
  5. He has raised us up to know Him more (Romans 8:11)
  6. We are loved (Romans 9:25–26 and 1 John 3:1–2)
  7. We are hidden (Colossians 3:1–3)

"The basic form of discipleship is following Jesus."

"The basis of our faith is based in the historical fact that Jesus was raised from the dead."

"I'm going to be wildly evangelical when I realize the depth of what I was saved from."

"This is what it manes to be a follower  of Jesus, one who has received by God."

"Your old life is hidden, it is buried, it is ruined, it is no longer a part of who you are. And when Christ finally returns, you will know fully that truth."

"You can’t be married to Christ and flirt with the world."

"We are made alive in Christ, we are chosen by God the Father, we are adopted into God's family, we are saved, we are raised up to know Him more, we are one's loved by God, we are hidden in Christ. The good news of the gospel is that all of those identities are yours fully through faith."
