Why Volunteer

In 1 Corinthians 12:12-31, Paul explains how we are all unique members of the body of Christ, each with personal gifts, talents, and strengths that are needed to support the body. Likewise, in supporting the body of Redemption Church, our members are encouraged to identify their personal gifts, talents, and passions and serve on a team fitting with their strengths.

Volunteers are the life blood of the church.  It’s critical that we build and equip our people to help serve the church in a physical capacity. We exist to help people know the love of God in Jesus Christ. This is our mission and the heart of discipleship. We pursue this together through volunteer opportunities both inside and outside the church.

Where Can I Serve

Redemption currently has six Ministry Teams where you can volunteer. We encourage you to select a team and get plugged in wholeheartedly. We are excited to have you partner with us in serving God's kingdom.

The Communications Team encompasses all communication strategies of Redemption Church, both internal and external. Communication volunteers help to tell the story of what Jesus is doing in the life of individuals in the church and in the church body as a whole. They work on graphic design, social media, email communications, photography, content management and website management.

First Impressions

The First Impressions team is designed to make a personal connection with Redemption visitors and attendees before and after Sunday service. Opportunities within the First Impressions team include serving as greeters, hosting our hospitality fellowship (coffee, muffins, etc.), and assisting with set up/tear down for our weekly church service.

Kids Ministry

Redemption Kids volunteers are energetic individuals with a heart for children and a passion for teaching kids about Jesus on their level. They play with kids, make crafts, and share the gospel with the next generation. Volunteers in Redemption Kids must pass a background check and complete an interview with our Redemption Kids directors.

The Production Team manages the sound, lighting and screens for Sunday gatherings and is an integral part of enhancing the quality of our weekly worship. Specific roles include: optimizing stage lighting and controlling sound, managing presentations, recording sermons for our SoundCloud podcast and YouTube channel, and producing creative videos and other associated media.

Worship Team

Worship is more than just entertainment; music is part of the way we prepare our hearts and minds to hear the word and to respond to that word. Worship volunteers are talented individuals with an ear for music and a passion for praising God through song. We are always looking to expand our Worship Team and offer more variety for the Redemption worship experience.
